Christmas Countdown 2014: Day 10

It's the 10th of December already! Where has the time gone? Today our site turns 10 days old and its only 14 more days till Christmas Eve. To commemorate this special occasion enjoy a treat from our holiday movie check-up section:

A Muppet Family Christmas (1987)
USA; 42 min; family, comedy, short
Directors: Peter Harris, Eric Till
Writing: Jerry Juhl
Cast: Frank Oz, Dave Goelz, Richard Hunt, Kathryn Mullen, Jerry Nelson, Karen Prell, Steve Whitmire, David Rudman, Jim Henson, Caroll Spinney, Gerard Parkes, Terry Angus, Kevin Clash

Synopsis: We all know and love the Muppets whether they put on a show in their theater, they are on a treasure hunt, or up in space. In this Christmas classic Fozzy Bear takes all of his friends (and us) home with him to spend Christmas at his mom’s country estate. Mama Bear is shocked, since she had planned a tropical Christmas get-away and had already rented out her place for the holidays. Yet the disappointment quickly disappears and in the end it truly is a Muppet Family Christmas, since even the Sesame Street gang and The Fraggles drop by for a visit.

Christmas Factor: 100%
To me, A Muppet Family Christmas is THE ultimate Christmas movie. Spend your holidays with the characters you grew up with and love. It’s nostalgia in its purest sense. Also, bring the whole family together with a short little movie: the puppets are a hit with kids, you get a Christmas carol sing-along marathon, and the Muppet’s witty dialogues make this film fun to watch for the adults as well. Family, Christmas caroling, and a dramatic entrance by Miss Piggy – what more could you ask for in a movie?
